Debug.log

I've noticed that debug.log located in /var/lib/masternodes/coinName/debug.log grows exponentially with messages from the wallet/node. I can't seem to find a way other than setting up a cron task to truncate the file daily to stop this from happening. Am I able to provide any params to the wallet compile to squash or cancel the production of the log?
