Swipe up from Home (Bottom Navigation bar) opens All App list instead going back to plain Homescreen

A bug I noticed on my OnePlus device recently was, when going back to home from other apps, or swiping up from home, the App List loads instead of the plain home screen.

I tried using the ignore touches (at bottom & at the top and bottom) to see if that will fix it, but no Beuno. I believe the feature expected is 1st swipe takes you to home, and a second swipe launches the app list? I tried to set another launcher as default, but this bug remains.

Expected: Any App window>Swipe from bottom gesture navigation>Pie launcher home Observed: Any App window>Swipe from bottom>Pie launcher App list>Swipe up again>Pie launcher home

If this is only happening to me, I will close this issue.

Please note I have hidden the System Navigation Buttons and replaced them with the hidden Navigation bar at the bottom.

Please advise.

Hm, I am using Android's gesture navigation too but experience no such behavior on any of my devices 🤔

Swiping up from the bottom of the screen goes to the blank home screen.

I don't understand how setting another launcher as default could help 🤔 The home gesture, the swipe from the bottom, should always go to the default launcher.

Hi, I'm having the same problem.

• One Plus 9
• Android 14
• Stock rom

I noticed that sometimes it opens the keyboard (as I setted in the launcher settings), but not always. Happens with every applications.

Hm, apparently OnePlus is doing something funny in their flavour of Android 🙈 I'm afraid I need to get a OnePlus device to debug this issue…

If anyone reading this with a OnePlus device is confident enough to clone and run this app, I think the problem must be somewhere here.

A launcher does not actually replace all functioanlity and features of your phone. a large part of how the phone functions is actually still based on your phone's original OEM firmware. WRT to these basic android navigation. Most launchers dun mess with the default OEM firmware i believe. Perhaps u can also try a navigation key mapper to see if it helps with your problem

I have a similar issue (I think) on

• Moto G84
• Android 14

Experienced: If I swipe o from bottom -> app draw opens (have to drag it down to close to get to pie menu)

Expected: swipe up from bottom -> empty screen shows in prep for our touch

Very frustrating to have to close all draw to get to pie every time, but our is so good, I just accept it ;) :D
