Blurry Mapbox SATELLITE_STREETS tiles beyond ZOOM 17.5

I am using latest Android MapBox SDK 9.4.0 to display a com.mapbox.mapboxsdk.maps.MapView object, using the conventional setStyle(Style.SATELLITE_STREETS,...) method.

This map, when zoomed beyond zoom 17.5 has its tile blurried on-the-fly (meaning you do not even have to stop zooming to see the change)

This results in a loss of image detail that has no rationale for me.
