on resize : File 'magento/pub/media/catalog/product/m/h/mh01-black_main_1.jpg' does not exist.

Hello

I have just done the installation of Sample data via Composer when trying to resize the images the error is displayed

File 'magento/pub/media/catalog/product/m/h/mh01-black_main_1.jpg' does not exist.

I've also come across this on M2.3.1

The table catalog_product_entity_media_gallery contains many references to images which arent available in this package.

Fingers crossed, ended up duplicating all existing images with a bash script to get the process to complete!

https://github.com/magento/magento2/pull/23005 might solve part of this problem.
