Installed OK from HACS, have visible panel with controls - doesn't do anything

Setup as a card:

type: custom:lg-remote-control
entity: media_player.lg_webos_tv_0282

...and it appears fine, but none of the buttons do anything to the TV. Note that I can control the TV fine using standard HA media control next to it, but the remote control panel does nothing:
