Add comics (maybe through Comic Vine API?)
I love the manga API for adding new titles to my library in Obsidian, but I'm missing a similar feature for comics. Comic Vine has a great database for American and European comics. I hope this (or a similar feature) is feasible. I think it would be a great addition to Media db.
I'm in the process of adding this, the way it would work would be to add an entire series (or volumes as comicvine calls them) rather than add individual issues, same way as omdb api only adds an entire tv show and not individual episodes.
The API also requires a key which is free, you just need to make an account.
Hi, I updated to the 0.8.0 version (both on my laptop and iPad), but I can't find the comic settings anywhere. I can't add my ComicVine API key, the destination folder, the comic template, etc. Am I doing something wrong or is it the same for others? I've even tried to replicate it in another vault and installed media db with the brat plug-in, but it's the same result. There's no option to add comics yet.
The feature hasn't been released yet. Support for the API was merged 1 week ago. The latest release (0.8.0) was one month ago.
Oh ok, I was confused because the read me file mentions it as currently supported. Nonetheless thanks for working on it. I'm looking forward to the next update :)
