Draft: Start work on switching to new style containers

Wanted to start discussions on this before I get too deep. This will look at the AWS page to build all supported images when they're released. Also greatly simplifies the build steps

@mLupine Do you have any thoughts on this so far? Anything you'd like to do differently? or should I finish it up the way it is Still need to:

  • [ ] add pipelines
  • [ ] Figure out ruby (hasn't been on al2023 yet)
  • [ ] cleanup comments and files

Hey @babyhuey! Thank you for looking into this!

I think in order to keep the interface the same you'd need to use the init.go as an entrypoint.

Here is how I got to working python and nodejs run images. I am not yet competely familiar with the build vs run variations of the images yet so please bare with me.
