non-steam game not detected

As the title says, if I run a regular steam game the program will detect it, however if I add a non steam game and run it via steam launcher the program doesn't detect it, it says that I am not in the game. Is there any way to fix this?

In order for game to be detected your steam status should set as 'In non-Steam game' and visible to others. What's the game in question?

Have the same issue with As Dusk Falls. UPD: saw a different thread where someone said it happens with games added from Xbox. Any info on a workaround for this or plans where it could become possible?
