Nothing is happening

Hi, I don't know if windows 11 breaks everything, but for me nothing happens, it is hanging at myFP.verify().

on my dell xps 15 9510 and my desktop computer.

Any Idea on how to fix that ? thanks

EDIT: My friend tried the script with his computer wich as the same finger print sensor and it worked but he is still on windows 10, maybe this can be the culprit

@noenic I have a feeling it is to do with Win11, as a similar issue occurred with one of the users of py-winbio (they said they used Win11 as well, and the program would freeze/hang when trying to identify or verify). I'm unsure as to why this is occurring, but it's possible that Win11 changed the standard location for the DLL, which might be interfering with the program. Not certain about that - just theorising on my part, but it's possible. Unfortunately I can't help with that.

Also happened to me

Its not winbio problem. Its windows 11 problem. That's because of a program called "Windows Terminal" To solve this change windows default terminal to "Windows Console Host" in windows terminal

How?

@tiagorangel2011 If you still need help, click the dropdown in Terminal and click settings image

Then change "Default terminal application" to Windows Console Host image
