Not working at all, don't understand the use of `after` mechanism

I am trying to get this to work and I have the plugin enabled as I can use :RainbowToggle However nothing shows up

I have been trying to get it working and my test/example code has ( ( "stuff" ) ) using the f1 keymap from the troubleshooting section says that the paren is jsParensIfElse

What can I do to get the colors to work? Is there something I need to do for my colorscheme?
