Intermittent immediate crash on startup of pgzero on labwc / wayland

Not a fundamental Wayland problem, as it works fine under Wayfire.

I can see the crash with both the Debian packaged release of pgzero (1.2.post4+dfsg-2) and the version in pip (1.2.1).
