[Feature] Add notes to bits

Open flyingOwl opened this issue 12 years ago • 4 comments

This is just a suggestion and will maybe not match what you had in mind with a Bit-Diary.

I would like to have the possibility to add a little note to some of my "bits". To add e.g. some stats to a bike-tour (distance, time), or why this was a good day, or what fast food I ate, ... This would maybe overlap with issue #11 (multiple ticks per day) as you can add a note like: "I did this 3 times".

Some further ideas: Visually the ticks with a note have a little hint/icon/text. A long press on a tick will open up a note-edit-box to add or edit the specific tick-note. A maximum lenght of maybe 50-100 characters is more than enough to add a few words.

And... by the way: Great idea - Great app - Keep it up, open source rules :)

Yea, one possibility to implement this without interfering with the original simplistic UI would be to use the long-press on a tick button to open a dialog where the tick can be edited (for example with a note). I'll think about it, thanks for the suggestion!

The comment field should be pre filled with a timestamp I use it for headache tracking so if it happens several times a a day - time times are important...

I would like to see this feature too. Especially usefull for health related tracking. There also should be a report view to display all bits and its comments (might be named track details, and current track details renamed to track statistics). It may look like the main tickmate view, with date, one column for bits and one for comments. This view may open on a on long tap on the top icon, similar to long tap for adding comment. There could be advanced settings for each track where maybe also a pattern could be defined (i.e. current time for mr-gosh) .

Hi, I think it is the most missing option. I have not seen a single (even outside open source) app that allowed for per-day note taking as well as being good at keeping track of all your habits.

Can you tell us the status of this feature? Do you accept bounties?
