The nvcuda.dll included with Proton is a stub and it doesn't work with this game.
You can use proton-cachyos until I am happy enough with these changes to be picked up by other protons. Both GE and EM are aware of them already.

It's a known limitation and likely not gonna be implemented any time soon. The existing implementation relies on `winex11.drv`
