Question - how to write ACPI tables?

Open ghost opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

Sorry to bother you with this question, but I guess you are an expert in the topic. I want to remove my Windows key from the MSDM table using a live Linux, but every tutorial is about how to read it and nobody cares about how to remove it. Is there a way to write these tables? Should I remove the whole MSDM table or just override the key with zeros?

Not sure if "MSDM" is special, but you can't write to ACPI tables directly. They are provided by the firmware (bios/uefi), so you would have to modify your bios.
