wilc1000 not properly working on SAMA5D3_XPLAINED board

hello, wilc1000, wilc1000_sdio drivers or ATWILC1000 SD board do not properly start and work on my SAMA5D3_XPLAINED board

• built kernel for SAMA5D3_XPLAINED : Linux version 5.10.87 : this contains wilc1000... drivers

• used latest firmware files wilc1000_wifi_firmware-1.bin (placed into /lib/firmware/atmel/ as driver seems to load it from there and not from ./mchp directory as documented elsewhere !)

• when i load driver : 'modprobe wilc1000_sdio' journal reports

          Retry short limit:7   RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:off
          Power Management:on

• when i start wpa_supplicant as documented : 'wpa_supplicant -iwlan0 -Dnl80211 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant_wilc.conf' where wpa_supplicant_wilc.conf reads

ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
update_config=1

journal reports

any ideas or hints what might be wrong ? what should i try to get it working ?

Please verify with latest WILC v15.6 driver and FW..

If you still face an issue then please open sales force ticket for this issue with more logs. http://microchipsupport.force.com
