Custom configuration of a button on Logitech MX Vertical

OS

macOS 15.4.1

LinearMouse

v0.10.0

Describe the bug

I would like to map the top button of my MX Vertical, which is by default used for changing the pointer speed, to a custom action, for example Mission Control. Going into Buttons - Assign actions to mouse buttons - clicking + and then clicking the top button is not recognizing the button press. I am talking about this one:

I am able to do it with BetterMouse, SteerMouse, etc, but not with LinearMouse, which I do prefer.

Any way to add this?

I have exactly the same problem, but with the Logi Lift. The app cannot map one button next to scroll (marked on the picture). When I press it, it only toggles between different DPI settings, but the app doesn't detect anything. However, it maps perfectly two otter buttons (back/forward not the left side of the mouse). I tried manually to add mapping for other buttons in JSON file - I add an action for all possible buttons up to #31 - but it didnt work.
