Multiple Configurations

Open GeorgeSpiggott opened this issue 3 weeks ago • 0 comments

Hi, this is not an issue per se, Please move/close/delete if this is the wrong place to ask. I'm just looking for advice for running two different configurations. Here is the setup I am trying to achieve. I'm using Retroarch Lr-Hitari as part of Retropie on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W.

Configurtion 1: Typical vanilla Atari ST configuration but with a 16Mhz CPU speed. This uses both the Retroarch/LR-Hitari '.opt' file and the hitari.cfg file to achieve the 16Mhz clock speed. The TOS ROM is 1.02 (tos.img)

All running fine, 16Mhz makes games run that bit snappier and smoother.

Configuration 2: Typical vanilla Atari Falcon configuration is desired. None of this configuration is set up yet. I have a 4.04 TOS ROM.

I'm unsure how to get LR-Hitari to access a second different hitari.opt file (needed for the change in CPU/clock speed) as well as a different separate TOS file.

If anyone could advise I'd be very appreciative.

P.S. If you were ever looking again at how the core accesses the TOS file I think it would be really helpful if it were possible to access a TOS file with a more descriptive filename by default. e.g. 'tos1.02.img' or similar. It would be easer to swap between different TOS images then.
