Photo copying to the iphone

I try copy photo to iphone to the DCIM folder, but I cannot see this photo trough stock photos and google photos app. Is it normally?

I suspect that the root cause is the same as https://github.com/libimobiledevice/ifuse/issues/38. The Photos app keeps its database of files. If you copy a file, it won't be in this database, so won't show up.
