Webview – Text large by default

On MacBook Air M1 (2020). Display is 2560 x 1600, scaled to "looks like 1440 x 900" (the default). lem-sdl2 and lem-webview built from source, revision 0b55b4f.

On lem-sdl2, the default text size is perfect:

On lem-webview, the text size is too large for me: Running M-x font-size-decrease 3 times, or running (lem-core:set-font-size 15) gets it looking like sdl2.

I also noticed: in SDL2, font size is saved in lem/config.lisp as :SDL2-FONT-SIZE, so it's saved across runs of the program. Webview does not yet do this.

indeed, same for me on Linux.

We have actionable good first issues I think: decrease default font size on webview, autosave it.

Hi, I'd like to try to take on the issue, if no one has so far. I don't know how long it will take. I have some experience with CL, although not with CLOS, but I also need to figure out the workflow with hacking on Lem.

You can set the font size via ~/.lemrc using the:

(set-font-size 12)
