gitx does not work in big projects ;-(

I switched to the 0.8.2 version and this version ist not usable. I working on a big project, currently we have over 3000 tags and 200 branches. If i switch to my private project with just 4 branches it works great. Hopefully this issue will be fixed in the future. This issue is not solved or fixed, in the head of the repo. ;-(

Every time i click in the GUI i get the beach ball. I think the problem ist gitx check every time all Branches an Tags.

I think maybe you didn't mean to click "Commet & Close".

This may be related to issue 62. I have experienced the same und am now working with an older commit. Newer versions spawn a lot of processes up to the situation where you cannot issue any more shell commands.

I have seen lots of zombie processes hanging around. It seems like the task handling needs some improvements.
