Using Dify Locally: Enhancing Knowledge Base and Model Improvement

Open MrBrabus75 opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Description of the new feature / enhancement

Current Setup

Local Dify Usage: I'm currently using Dify in a local environment.
Knowledge Base Creation: I've created a knowledge base using files, and then an application.
Interaction with Model: I pose questions to my model, and then navigate to the "Logs & Annotations" section.

Observations and Understanding

Adding Improvements: In the "Logs & Annotations" section, I noticed the option to add improvements to enhance the model.
Future Update Expectation: My understanding is that these improvements will become functional in a future update.

Scenario when this would be used?

Queries for Clarification

Implementation of Improvements:
How can I ensure that the improvements I make are taken into account by the model or the VDB (Vectore Database)?
How can these improvements be retained for future interactions?

Release of Update:
When is this update expected to be released?

Yes, in our current implementation, we have take those improvements into account.
But as far as I know, there will be a feature (cache reply) in the Log & Annos.

How can I ensure that the improvements I make are taken into account by the model or the VDB (Vectore Database)? New knowledge will take effect after uploading docs into vdb and then you will need to start a new conversation.

How can these improvements be retained for future interactions? I need to check with PM to discuss this part.

For short, I think this will happen in Jan 2024 :)
