Too many API keys without proper notes can indeed be difficult to manage.

We had the same feature request long time ago, but I would like to know how many API keys do you have per application.

Not much, actually. It's mainly for differentiation. For instance, I developed a Google plugin to synchronize the knowledge base, which requires an API key. Sometimes, when I need to share it with others, I will create a new API key and delete it directly once they no longer need it. Or, I assign one API key per new knowledge base to ensure independent invocation for each knowledge base.

Hi, @duguyue8. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the Dify team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale.

Issue Summary:

  • You proposed adding a note or comment section for API keys to improve management.
  • @crazywoola mentioned a similar feature request and asked about the number of API keys per application.
  • You clarified that you use API keys for differentiation, like unique keys for different knowledge bases or temporary sharing.

Next Steps:

  • Could you confirm if this issue is still relevant to the latest version of the Dify repository? If so, please comment to keep the discussion open.
  • If there are no further updates, this issue will be automatically closed in 15 days.

Thank you for your understanding and contribution!
