Slow connection

I'm working with Synapse to conect at a server that I can ping with 40~75ms (my work to my home). But when I save a file, it takes about 9~11 seconds to upload the file. I tried some FTP clients like FileZilla and it uploads a file almost instantly. What happens with Synapse? Doesn't the connection remain active or something like that?

sorry for delay reply I have change the code for the low level source, i.e the actual connection to the ftp server part, however I couldn't made my time for this extension. (now I finding my job^^;) plz wait few times, I will fix that.
