Error(s) while editing
most of times it throw this error while updating. Simple things I asked Join button used black color but in screenshot it is clearly mentioned join button has white color text for this its trying multiple time but not working.
Unable to replace text, trying a different approach...
Steps to Reproduce
- Upload any screenshot with have some button style
- first thing it will make mistake of using own color style
- then if ask to do make changes it is saying unable to edit file.
Expected Behavior
It should properly update what prompt is saying. But keep on repeating mistake.

HI @AvinashDalvi89 thank you for opening this issue. Does the chat eventually succeed after trying a different approach or did it infinitely get stuck in a loop or fail?
Its succeed after explaining properly and trying 4-5 times. then started giving proper prompt using ChatGPT with details. currently figma images and understanding styling not working well.
Still happening daily. When will this be fixed? This is also consuming a lot of credits unnecessarily
I've noticed this issue occurs when a file the agent is editing has unsaved changes in an open editor. To prevent this, ensuring all editor windows are closed for files that the agent needs to access has helped me. Also, autosave may help.
I get this constantly and whatever other method it tries generally works (not always, sometimes it takes several attempts).
What concerns me is the number of tokens it's using on my paid plan to try one way and fail, then try another and succeed consistently. It's also taking longer to complete the tasks. Why not just use the other way that works every time? I'm blowing through tokens and seeing a lot of this error, and wondering how much this is costing me?

I see this is open for some time, has there been any progress towards resolving this?
I have faced the same issue.
Update: I used kiro-cli doctor and found my bash version is too low. After the upgrade, the problem was fixed.
Even simple edits on latest MacOS frequently randomly receive "Unable to replace text, trying a different approach..." before re-reading the file and succeeding. It's pretty annoying and surprising this has been open for 6 months.
