KBFS is not working on either of my macs (work and personal)
Keybase has not been loading the private filesystem on my Mac (running Catalina) and I'm not sure why. I got this error from the GUI today. I have neither VMWare nor VirtualBox installed on my system, although there is a Cisco VPN installed. By the way, both my personal mac with no VPN, and my work mac (with a VPN) stopped working at the same time months ago:
We were unable to load KBFS (Fuse kext). This may be due to a limitation in MacOS where there aren't any device slots available. Device slots can be taken up by apps such as VMWare, VirtualBox, anti-virus programs, VPN programs and Intel HAXM. Please run
keybase log sendto report the error.

Same problem for me on 10.14 (Mojave)

I've been able to make it work. Not sure how I did it but after some digging into old issues, I found these (in order of try) : 18617 13456
So, here is what I did :
First, I removed fuse and redirector from the first issue : keybase uninstall -c redirector,fuse
restarted Keybase;
Since my first try did not work with the full description of the first issue, I stopped there. Then, I copied the kbfuse.bundle from the latest working Keybase build on my machine (which was 5.9.0) into the updated app ( this is located in Keybase.app/Contents/Resources/KeybaseInstaller.app/Contents/Resources/ )
Then, I tried keybase --debug install -c fuse,redirector but it throw some error.
I restarted my machine, opened keybase and, well, it was in fact working...

Hi There,
Thanks for the tip.
Just to clarify it, when you mentioned to copy the kbfuse.bundle into the updated app, you mean to copy it into the KeybaseUpdater.app?
The latest MacOS version has the same issue. Worked perfectly before. (Ventura for Mac OS). I tried the advice but to no effect.
Is there any version of macOS where this works?
