Feature Request: Authentication

Would it be possible to add simple authentication?

You mean authentication in the proxy so others can't use it? if that's what you want, then I would say no. SWProxy is not meant for that, you shouldn't be running it on a publicly available IP, usually you'd only run it on your internal network. Also, you shouldn't be running it for any long periods of time, you'd set it, login into SW, then close the proxy, it shouldn't take more than 2 minutes, there is no need for any authentication.

Note: you are free to implement it yourself if you want, and if you send a patch to that effect, and the review looks good, I wouldn't object into merging it.
