Launch Screen disappears for a fraction of second on iOS 8.1 (iPhone 6)

I tested the Example app on iOS 9.2.1 (iPhone 5) and it worked fine. But, when I ran it on iOS 8.1 (iPhone 6), there seemed to be a glitch when the launch screen shows up. That is, the launch screen seemed to disappear for a fraction of second before the modal view controller shows up.

I have no iOS 8 devices right now. Can it be reproduced with simulator?

I don't have a simulator for iOS 8 and iPhone 6. You'll have to download that particular simulator (iOS 8, iPhone 6) I guess. I haven't tested it on a simulator yet.
