HotKey, mouse hover, and Pinnedf functions
Now we can only preview a link from right-click menu and select the option, could you set one hotkey or with a mouse movement to open the preview overlayer window? Just like hold "ALT" or "Ctrl" then mouse hover for more than 0.3s, the preview overlayer will appear, and when you move to a new link it will display the new link contents. When you click outside of the overlayer window, the window will vanish automatically, but you can add one "Pin" button on the window title bar to enable "pinned". Thanks a lot! This is ready a great job!
There are pages where the preview tooltip does not appear, so this would be very useful.

A while back, I implemented a hover-to-preview option commit but it was too noisy. Would revisit it, perhaps as an option.

Not showing for certain links is intentional, the extension is designed to show preview for links on domains that are different from that of the current page. This prevents showing the preview tooltip over menu and other navigational items on the same page. That being said, there are situations where I want to preview links on the same domain - e.g. wikipedia browsing. I haven't figured out the right balance yet
Thank you so much for this extension, it works great.
I've been using Arc for a while and being able to "shift+click" any link and effectively get a link preview no matter what is really handy, and it's the biggest thing I miss when I try other browsers. It would be great if holding a modifier (or allowing the user to choose a modifier) + clicking would force a preview to be loaded no matter what. I'm trying to switch to other browsers, but this functionality in Arc is basically keeping me there at this point - if this were implemented in this extension, I could finally feel like I could use other browsers 😅
Quick update: Hover-to-preview is now implemented and published in the latest version of this extension.
@macintacos I like the suggestion about using a modifier to invoke any link, it solves the noise problem.
@justiceo would you like me to create a separate issue to track that feature request, or are you using this issue for that?
Hello, great extension but yes, if we can have an option to setup a hotkey like alt + left click, I think it would be even better. Thanks
