Atlassing the Baked Reflection Atlases
Hi, is it possible to gather up all the baked reflection 2d texture atlasses of each objects into one big atlas and make it work for all objects?
For example, There are 3 lakes in my game, All 3 game objects share the same water shader material but if I bake that hemispherical reflection on each of them they will require theit own local reflection atlases. But if we somehow can fuse those 3 reflection atlases of each lakes into one big atlas and put on the shared material of 3 lakes, They wont need seperate materials or textures saving draw call and maybe a bit of memory. guess there are 12-20 ponds or lake in a big openworld game 😅
is it doable?
