It would be great if we had a single measurement of quality for packages we could use for sorting. Some factors that may be considered for calculating it:
- Dependent packages: Dependents indicate how many open source projects rely on this package
- Stars: Stars show what people are interested on
- Downloads: Last month's downloads can help you feel the package’s pulse
- Length of readme
- Version number
- packagequality.com
