[Feature Request]: Make menu bar appear floating versus docked to top of screen

Description
I'd like the ability to crop away a few pixels from the top to make the menu bar appear fully floating versus looking like it's docked to the top of the screen.

I'm not sure about this...I've rejected similar feature requests before. We can't actually change the frame of the menu bar, so the only way to accomplish this would be, like you said, to literally crop around the existing space. On screens with a notch, the menu bar is quite tall, so we do actually have a setting for this on those screens. On standard screens, however, we don't have much extra vertical space to work with, so I'm not really convinced that there's a way to make this look good. I could always be wrong, so if someone can come up with a decent design, I'll implement it. I'll leave this open for now with that in mind.
