No paper suggestions on "Add BibTex Reference" Dialogue

OS: Linux (EndeavourOS) plugin version: 0.5.0 app format: Flatpak expected behaviour: After clicking the "Add BibTex Reference" button and search for a bibtex key the dialogue should suggest appropriate papers from the bibtex file

actual behaviour: No papers are suggested (see screenshot attached) and can therefore not be added.
