MacOS gives an error when trying to run the latest releases:

“lollipops” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

The workaround for now is to go to System Preferences > Privacy and Security, then scroll way down and look for the "lollipops" was blocked ... message, then click on "Allow Anyway"
