On global search grid should keep the checkbox value

HI,

I have added a column with checkbox, when ever I do a global search all the checkbox value get refreshed, I need to maintain the state of checkbox while doing the global search, is their any way i can achieve it. Can global search work without the server call ? or how to bind the grid with view model ?
