Feature request: Support Markdown

You need to make it so that one can use bold text etc. in the predefined messages without having to use HTML. As it is you can only add plain text and then you need to re-format it as you like with bold or cursive text etc.

a lot of extra time that can be saved by including the text format options.

Thanks in advance guys!

Don't know if this will/should be implemented.

Workaround: Use Thunderbird compose window to write and format your message, save the message as a draft, show source code of the draft and copy the text between <body> and </body>

Just a thought: Perhaps we could also support Markup. Would be nice.

So the Insert as List could be:

  • Text
  • Markup
  • HTML

Markup and HTML could have an Editor with buttons for bold, italic, etc. and a live preview.

Would be a major rewrite, but this would be really awesome.
