Freezes related to Steam Cloud

Many reports of the game freezing when attempting to enter a subworld that saves in Singleplayer with Steam Cloud enabled. I can't debug this myself since Steam Cloud has caused me headaches before and I've since disabled it.

i pretty much have the problem when i tried to use t he terminus it says that i need to deactivate the steam cloud, so i did, multiple times, tried restarting steam restarting my computer nothing worked
