It's always 1904 in the threaded news section, but only for some clients

Open Knezzen opened this issue 3 months ago • 4 comments

Not sure why I haven't noticed until now, but in some clients like the original Pitbull Pro everything in the time stamp in the threaded news section is correct, except for the year which always shows as 1904 for some reason. This issue does not exist on the original Hotline client or the modern Swift based Hotline client when connected to Mobius.

Either way, it looks like something is a bit off in Mobius, since Pitbull Pro shows a correct year in threaded news when connected to a server running the original Hotline Connect server software.

Thanks again Jeff for keeping this wonderful piece of software alive!

@Knezzen Curiously, I am not seeing the same behavior from the Pitbull Pro 2.4.4 client on Mac OS 9.0.4. I wonder if the location matters? 🤔

Very strange indeed! I have an English system, but with Swedish date and time format. Why would that matter I have no idea. It does work with original Hotline server software with Swedish date and time format. Surely must be something with Mobius?

I'm failing to see how to set up my OS 9 to use Swedish date and time format. I tried using the Swedish region in the Date & Time control panel, but that didn't see to change anything. Can you help me understand how to do this?
