i have also the same error, but this happens also at older versions and only at the desktop-version. As workaround i am using the chrome-app, but i need this app working on the windows 10 desktop pc.
Hi I recently had been the same problem. I tested differents .exe versions but I had the same java script windows error, then I download the .ms file extension and the problem resolved.

We do not host on sourceforge, you should only download from Github. Sourceforge might not deliver identical binaries.
Is there a workaround or a beta version we can use in the meantime? I'm getting this error message a couple of times a minute.
@dotanb7 using which binary downloaded from which URL?
@davidjgraph Version 20.6.1, both with windows installer and without install. Downloaded from here (I now noticed it was released yesterday.) Specifically, download URLs are this- no installer, and this - installer
OS version?
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, 10.0.19044 Build 19044 Updated to version 20.6.2 following an update notification in the application, still getting the errors (exactly the same text @olczyk4 posted originally).
I should've mention that I was working with an imported file from Visio Online, but it also happens with a new file. From a quick check - it seems to happens when I add Hebrew text. Let me know if anything else is needed from me.
I also faced the same error in the desktop app. The error message was popping up constantly when i was working on a UML diagram.
It got resolved when i added C:\Windows\System32 to environment Path variable.
my os version: Windows 10.0.19045 Build 19045 draw.io version: 20.8.16
Anyone still having this issue. We pushed a fix sometime ago
