Changed mardown parsing to using marked instead of showdown

Chnaged to using 'marked' as suggested in one of your issues. This is for the ability to use github flavored markdown for markdown documents. Let me know if you see any issues.

This corresponds well with issue #32. @jbt, any plans to merge this into docker?
