Adjusting the label window parameters

Greetings - small question here:

I'd like to adjust the labeling window parameters (label_view_width) and the skip parameter (control_arrow_jump).

I found that these are parameters that can be adjusted both in the project_config.yaml and the gui.yaml which is found in the deg environment's CONF folder.

Changing neither of these parameters (default is 31) seems to affect the gui's construction.

Any advice about how to make the change?
