Umlauts or spaces in device names seem to cause problems
Hey, so i found that devices that have a name with either umlauts or with spaces like e.g. "Bedroom Fan" cause that the device cant be controlled. I changed the name from "Bedroom Fan" to "Fan" and it instantly worked. Same for another case where i had an "ä" in a device name and after changing it to an english name it worked.
What do you mean about "cant be controlled" specifically? Does it not show up on the list of devices? Or does it show up but not respond to actions? Also which action(s) have you tried to control your device with?
Also note that the plugin only uses the device's name for display purposes. The plugin uses the entity ID to control devices. If you renamed the device but haven't changed the entity ID, that shouldn't cause your existing actions to stop working. However, it is possible that the name might not get updated in Touch Portal. You would have to run the Rebuild Home Assistant States action or restart the plugin to update the name of the renamed devices.
