Take the raft to Crescent, use the Echoes portal. The vanilla return portal only responds to currents in rando.

This should be fixed "naturally" as a consequence of 4.2 changes, but it's a thing to check.
idk exactly what circumstances are problematic so i'll have to investigate thanks bananas for all your help in exploring the ramifications of this issue
4.1 alpha seems to have introduced this bug, but I'd rather fix this in a patch version than have more alpha versions.
