Error during checkout.

I setup the module correctly, (verified the settings on bitcoind manually , made sure i whitelisted the ip, etc), only to find on checkout it just hangs then eventually displays the white screen. with debugging turned on it appears that it thinks it cant connect with: wrong password/login. however,using 'tcpick' i was able to discern that it DID infact login and bitcoind did respond with the correct string.... so im guessing the module isnt parsing the return properly.

it should be noted i was using bitcoin-0.5.0-beta and I also tried using 3.x and others.
