Feature: Sniping (with PogoLocationFeeder)
Changes made:
- Added a listener and a sniper based off of responses sent via PogoLocationFeeder.
@staurakis I could rework this to get the coordinates and calculate the steps away from the Pokemon, and it'll go for it if the Pokemon is remotely close.
@muschter ok that would make it safer, but the whole purpose of sniping is being in Europe and be able to get this snorlax in San Franchisco. If on the other hand someone is lucky enough to be somewhere near a rare pokemon and the input of the PogoLocationFeeder notify him, i agree it is a nice feature to have.
Could it work sniping the Pokémon some 50 vor 100 meters away Form the bot and let the bot "stumble" accross the Sniped Pokémon?
@AlexBoulyga I believe that could work, or skipping every 5km to one nearby.
@jabbink With these new bans being rolled out, what would be the best way to handle sniping right now?
I would say sniping should be completely optional and disabled by default, and tested by new accs to be sure how niantic checks for it.
Reopened to try and trigger a Travis-CI rebuild, it appears to be stuck. @jabbink Would you mind resetting it when you get the chance?
Is there anyway to snipe and not get banned? I wanted this thing to happen, but after getting banned with 7 accounts, i'm a bit worried. I mean, i'm out of email and username ideas :smile:
@CptJackieSparrow Probably, but it would require a bit of refactoring. I mainly want/need this to be tested by a variety of people to give feedback.
@CptJackieSparrow Let me know how long it takes you for to get an account banned, and how fast it softbans. I'll be using your results to tweak code.
So all i need to do is open PogoFeeder with PokemonGoBot? Shoud i tweak anything?
@CptJackieSparrow Yeah, that's all you need to do. I opened PogoFeeder first. I wouldn't tweak any of the settings just yet.
@muschter unfortunately there's a problem occurs when i run with uncompiled version. it's saying unexpected error, so i couldn't make it. I couldn't make it work with jar file either. Opened PogoFeeder first, then run jar, no luck getting dragonites
I think i might have found the problem. In my language there's another letter called "İ" besides "I" (bigger of "i" is different) That's why it keeps giving that error i think. I don't want to change the language of the OS, as it messes so much in windows. Any ideas how to correct it? tried to change letter at "C:\Users\Güneş\PokemonGoBot\src\main\kotlin\ink\abb\pogo\scraper\settings.kt", tried typing both "i" and "I" from 3 entries, couldn't make it work..
