Hello! Your instance has been added to our monitoring system: https://updown.io/gjnv You need to wait 30 days before we add your instance, this is to evaluate that your instance will keep a good uptime for one month.

Make sure you double checked all the mandatory checks or this will slow down the process of adding your instance!

Please consult these two important tutorials:

  • Escaping the YouTube block (403 errors in playback): https://docs.invidious.io/ipv6-rotator/

  • Improving the performance and the stability of your public instance: https://docs.invidious.io/improve-public-instance/

It is highly recommended to follow these tutorials because it will allow the instance to stay stable and performant over the long term.

hey, your instance is ready to be added.

before, can you please keep basic settings to vanilla settings? I see that the speed is at 1.25%, something that will probably annoy most users.

and also please remove any cloudflare analytics, we do not allow that:

<script nonce="Viob2MCgJTgRrgg1mjXjOBfbBcNLDIE5">(function(){function c(){var b=a.contentDocument||a.contentWindow.document;if(b){var d=b.createElement('script');d.nonce='Viob2MCgJTgRrgg1mjXjOBfbBcNLDIE5';d.innerHTML="window.__CF$cv$params={r:'8e0904c338fc0787',t:'MTczMTI3MjkxNS4wMDAwMDA='};var a=document.createElement('script');a.nonce='Viob2MCgJTgRrgg1mjXjOBfbBcNLDIE5';a.src='/cdn-cgi/challenge-platform/scripts/jsd/main.js';document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(a);";b.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(d)}}if(document.body){var a=document.createElement('iframe');a.height=1;a.width=1;a.style.position='absolute';a.style.top=0;a.style.left=0;a.style.border='none';a.style.visibility='hidden';document.body.appendChild(a);if('loading'!==document.readyState)c();else if(window.addEventListener)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',c);else{var e=document.onreadystatechange||function(){};document.onreadystatechange=function(b){e(b);'loading'!==document.readyState&&(document.onreadystatechange=e,c())}}}})();</script><script defer src="[https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js/vcd15cbe7772f49c399c6a5babf22c1241717689176015](view-source:https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js/vcd15cbe7772f49c399c6a5babf22c1241717689176015)" integrity="sha512-ZpsOmlRQV6y907TI0dKBHq9Md29nnaEIPlkf84rnaERnq6zvWvPUqr2ft8M1aS28oN72PdrCzSjY4U6VaAw1EQ==" nonce="Viob2MCgJTgRrgg1mjXjOBfbBcNLDIE5" data-cf-beacon='{"rayId":"8e0904c338fc0787","version":"2024.10.5","r":1,"token":"97f9dd183a19470084a041ef24b90c59","serverTiming":{"name":{"cfExtPri":true,"cfL4":true,"cfSpeedBrain":true,"cfCacheStatus":true}}}' crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

Okay, I have changed back the video speed to 1.00x and I think I have disable all autoconfigured Web Analytics and RUM from my domain, I will wait to see if it will change on site after sometime, else I will try delete the whole domain from Web Analytics.

IPv6 is working now too!

gbschenkel avatar Nov 12 '24 16:11 gbschenkel

Hello, since October a lot has happened. YouTube is cracking down heavily on 3rd party softwares using their unofficial API like Invidious.

This mean that once your instance will be added to the public list, there is a very high chance it will stop working after a day. It's possible that your instance may survive this blockage if you are running it on a residential IP address because YouTube seems to be more kind towards residential IPs. We don't exactly know at what limit they consider banning the IP address.

Currently, the counter-measures employed by the existing instances are rotating the IP address every hour, as of right now there is no guidance regarding that so you will need the knowledge in this field to keep your instance running.

Do you still want to run a public instance?

Do you still want to run a public instance?

Hi, yes you can list it, I already have problems with dash, but medium/hd720 works. Today I checked, and dash was working again...

I found today my second instance wasn't enable the statistics, than showing mostly offline the site on updown.io, I have today resolved that and put more 2 online. Also now using quick and using a dedicated lxc just for postgresql.

@Unifox since you removed it with commit 4130435c8737aa090d66a4ff9517b752438920c8, can you add it back?

Hello,

Your instance has been removed due to fail to respond to any request or very slow to respond.

The bots gave you suggestions to improve your instance stability: https://github.com/iv-org/documentation/issues/607#issuecomment-2405179293

I won't readd your instance unless you prove that you are taking into accounts the massive amount of traffic that your instance may receive.
