Why do you want this feature?

For me, it's more useful to have the monthly overview in the notification and if more details are needed to check them inside the app

For reference, this is what 3G Watchdog used to do:

To me this is basically the epitome all the most useful things in one place from a data usage monitor: data usage ratio, "OK" -> "if you continue at this rate, you'll still be fine by the end of the current plan period" (3GW also did "WARN"s and stuff IIRC but I don't have any of those handy), raw usage details, end of period.
