switch entire setup and settings to webui
As stated before, Im working on a webui for this script. The settings are becoming too complex to really work from a terminal.
- This will address issues #143 #140 #131 #107 #106 #98 #65
- This will allow for a much easier plex integration (1-click) through oauth
- This will make each component of this script and how they all connect much more easy to comprehend.
Reading from a config file/environment variables would also be a good alternative
Would a plex_debrid version jellyseerr make sense, under services instead of sonarr and radarr settings it will be plex_debrid settings? Maybe thats too much just throwing ideas out there.
I would love to help towards this. I've been wanting to make an api backend forever now..
We also need to get rid of plex as hard dependency. In my case, I also want to use this script with Infuse on apple tv without plex. But as I read, the script can't be used without plex.
It would therefore be great if a media server would be optional only.
Maybe rename the script? "media_debrid" or "stream_debrid"? :)
You can use the script with emby, jellyfin or infuse. Plex is not a requirement :)
Well, I should have played more with your script first 😄 I really can't wait for the web-interface. I think this project will attract even more people!
Do you have maybe a update for us on how it's going @itsToggle ? I don't want to stress or anything 😄 just curious on how it's going.
Im currently writing my master thesis, which is why there hasnt been many updates lately. Ill be back to development at the end of april :) The first thing Ill do is to finish the rclone_rd beta, which allows file renaming and file moving. After that Ill finish and publish an api backend for plex_debrid, which will then allow the community to built the webui frontend together.

@itsToggle Just wanted to chime in and say that I think this is a fantastic idea! A WebUI is sorely needed for the complexity of configuration. I am finding myself setting everything up right now and struggling to backtrack through the menus to find the places I need to configure everything properly. I hope your thesis went well, and that you have some time to return to this implementing this idea. Thanks!
