dpkg: error: cannot access archive '/kernelstub*.deb': No such file or directory
not sure where to go after this seems to not be working.
I know this is horribly belated, but the error tells you exactly what the problem is. You're not defining the correct path to the DEB package. The .. in the instructions is necessary, as it tells dpkg to look in the directory above for the package. You can also just type out the full path to it, which is likely more ideal. I assume you've figured this out by now (again, I apologize for grave digging), so this is more so to just give an explanation to anyone else who may run into this same issue.
