Using custom stack sizes for Shulkers for example, the server reports the default value in containers: but as soon as you click on the item or place it into your inventory, the stack size updates:

Realistically this bug is niche as hell—requiring some other custom stack size commands/datapack/mod present—but it's pretty damn infuriating right now to say the least. I'm not exactly sure why Mojang wontfix'd it, given that it's a completely valid and obvious bug.
