The system volume automatic slowly increase or decrease

Suggestion for a new function. I would like the possibility to have the system volume automatic slowly increase or decrease over time. Like lower the volume by one volume step every X minutes once this function has been started. Could be expanded to have settings for start and end volume (max/min). Could also be possible to connect this function to the scheduler as complement to manually start of the function.

Use case is for example to slowly fade out music when going to sleep, or to slowly fade in music in the morning.
